Tran Minh has spent six years with Android phones in his hands and a notebook on his desk. Based in Hanoi, he reviews the apps most outlets ignore: the sub-megabyte utilities, the single-purpose wrappers, the indie builds that do one job without asking for your data in return.
His testing method is stubbornly physical. Every app he covers is installed on real phones, not emulators, spanning old budget devices and current flagships. For KhoindVN v1.0 that meant three handsets, a clean install on each, and a week of daily use before a single paragraph was written. If a claim appears in one of his reviews, a phone on his desk verified it.
Before reviewing apps full-time, Tran Minh worked in mobile QA for a Hanoi software studio, where he learned to read permission lists the way editors read manuscripts: closely, and with suspicion. He writes in plain English for readers who want straight answers, and he answers reader mail himself.
How Tran Minh works
- Installs every reviewed APK on at least two real Android phones.
- Verifies package name, version, and file size against the published page.
- Uses the app as a normal reader would for several days before writing.
- Re-tests on new versions and updates the review when behavior changes.
